The project partner organizations from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and the United Kingdom met on 23rd and 24th April in Zagreb to share the experiences of implementing various activities taking place at the beginning of the year 2 of the project “Start the Change”.

The project coordinators and experts met at the project meeting to discuss the activities which have being carried out and also planned the activities to be implemented by the end of 2018. Currently, the teachers and students of forty schools in Slovenia, Italy, Croatia and the UK are implementing local projects with the support of their project coordinators to start changes they want to see in their schools and local communities. The projects are various and differ in the topic and scope but they all have in common the promotion of acceptance of differences, fundamental rights, freedom and creativity.

School projects that are examples of good practice will be collected in the publication “Book of Good Ideas”, and a short documentary “Start the Change” will be recorded to tell the story of these projects and about students and teachers who are being active in their communities.  Another joint activity which will be carried out in all four countries is Forum’s traditional “Colour the World with Diversity” contest. This year, students from all four countries will present their thoughts about how they see and live differences around them in a creative way.

The coordinators will continue to collect stories about the local projects and the best examples will be published here along with the art work from the creative contest “Colour the World”.
