Teachers in Croatia meet for another learning experience!
Teachers from 14 primary and secondary schools from different parts of Croatia came together in the town of Tuhelj near Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and participated in a 2-day long training on the subject of school volunteering.
These teachers supported their students in implementing different intercultural and peace building projects in previous school year and on this training they shared their experience, benefits and challenges on starting up the sustainable school projects. With the support of Forum experts, they designed new and improved existing school projects that would become the part of school’s curriculum for the next school year of 2018/2019. This learning process provided opportunity for teachers to work on sustainability of the projects in which students can express their talents, interests and also develop different competences, thus improving the quality of their school and local community.
During the training, teachers and project coordinators discussed the activities yet to be implemented. There is the creative contest „paint the World with Diversity“ to be implemented in all four partner countries, in which young people can participate and voice creatively their perspectives on values like freedom, solidarity and diversity. Also, all school projects that present the good practices will be published in the Book of Good Ideas on English language and this publication will be available for download on this web site. The participants of this projects, together with guests from UK, Slovenia and Italy will be able to share their experience to wider public at the final conference in Zagreb in November 2018.
All the above activities and outcomes will be presented on this web site, so stay tuned.
